After receiving a thought for the day containing the following quote :
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson,
the gears between the ears kicked into gear and out popped the video at the end of this post.
During the course of the video I compare times when all attraction and relationship marketers should consider being a trailblazer and another when trailblazing is going to hinder our efforts.
Please watch the video and let me know your thoughts by commenting (Thanks!).

Hi Jim,
I really enjoyed your video today, most excellent.
John Carlton says, “you can always see the Pioneers, they are the ones on the side of the road with arrows in their back”.
I love that.
I’m an acupuncturist which is a job that for me, is very much guided by intuition as much as theory.
Interestingly, the intuition is based on a solid foundation that came from rather rigid training (I studied in Japan).
Now I’m free to do what I want because I have the foundation to understand what it is that I’m doing, it actually has meaning.
I think this is what you were referring to by keeping close to a program until you get the basic skills down pat.
The great thing about the Renegade Professional training is it teaches you to be yourself within those rock solid fundamentals and that means that there are no clones coming out at the end, just unique individuals with the marketing skills to express who they are.
Once that point is reached, let the trail blazing begin
.
Thanks for a thought provoking post!

Hi Steve,
I love the Carlton quote as well and I think I’ll add it to the Thought for Today” post. I actually made the video awhile back and it was part of an earlier post on the WP.com blog … well we know what happened to that
Renegade Pro has some great training and now that there is a WordPress option by a really cool instructor (I think that person goes by Steve A. as well
and not just SquareSpace, it’s even better. Where the heck were your WP series when I was first learning it and enrolled in BaB … LOL
I’m glad it’s there now and I’ve already picked up some great pointers from that series as well.
Thanks again for stopping and commenting … it’s always a pleasure.
Best,
Jim
